Yay it’s almost the weekend! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my instastories about what to wear for Preakness at the Piazza.
This Saturday, May 20th is the Preakness Stakes, it’s the race after the Kentucky Derby — the second race in the Triple Crown series. Just like the Kentucky Derby, style is super important. It’s all about the outfit, including hats for women and bow ties for men.
If you’re in Philly, one of the biggest celebrations is Preakness at the Piazza! Dance the night away in fun derby day attire with an open bar, food, live music and more. Get your tickets here. All event proceeds go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Preakness at the Piazza Style Inspo
Earlier this week Jessica from Philly PR Girl and I went to DFTI to try on some derby day outfits. I tried everything from little white dresses, fun prints, and solids.
My favorite look ended up being a navy blue romper (super non-traditional derby style) with the floppiesttttt hat ever.
I love the idea of a non-traditional derby outfit because Preakness at the Piazza is a huge party. Have fun and wear something fabulous that you really like.
Since this romper is a solid navy, I paired it with the biggest hat I could find. Check it out below!
