Style | MINKPINK + DNC Summer Stripes

I’m excited that Philadelphia’s the host city for the 2016 Democratic National Convention (DNC). This week I went to The Logan Hotel’s rooftop bar, Assembly for a Bluecoat Gin event. Bluecoat Gin is the official gin provider for the DNC.

Have you ever been to Assembly? The views are so pretty! I mean, exploring the Art Museum area on foot is spectacular. I can’t even describe how gorg it is from above.

It was SO humid that day. So humid my sunglasses fogged up in the morning. I wanted to wear a light weight fabric that wouldn’t cling to my skin in the yucky, sticky weather.

This flowy blue and white stripe dress from MINKPINK is great for humid days. If you saw my Instagram boomerang, you could see how light the fabric is.

I was actually going for a nautical theme with my red nails and white and blue stripes. But now that I think of it…I was in an American Girl USA theme. So fitting for the event!

{ Style Tip } To accessorize, add an extra nautical touch with a pop of red. I went with red nails. I’m using my go-to red nail polish — Dior Pandore.
