Recipes | Holiday Cocktails from the Experts

‘Tis the season of festive cocktails. Maybe you’re planning a holiday party. Or, maybe it’s Friday night and you just want to unwind and treat yourself. All part of self-care, right? 😉 .

When Bluebird Distilling, Ocean Prime and The Twisted Tail shared their holiday drink recipes with me, I hadddd to pass on their recipes to you because…there’s so much delicious-ness and it’s almost the weekend.

From rye whiskey to gin, here are three holiday cocktails straight from the experts:

1. Bluebird Distilling’s Pumpkin Smash

1 oz. Vanilla-Infused White Rye Whiskey

.5 oz. Allspice-Infused White Rye Whiskey

.75 oz. Demerara Syrup

.25 oz. Lemon Juice

2 tsp. Libby’s Pumpkin Pie Mix

1 Egg White

Instructions for Whiskey Infusion:

Vanilla White Rye Infusion: Insert 1/3 of a fresh vanilla bean into 750 mL of White Rye and let sit overnight. The White Rye will take on some color, as well as the taste and aroma of the vanilla. Bean can be left to sit in the bottle indefinitely, without consequence.

Allspice White Rye Infusion: Insert 1 tbsp. of Allspice berries into 750 mL of White Rye, and let sit. After 24 hours, remove the berries from the whiskey, to prevent over-infusion and bittering of the spirit.

2. Ocean Prime’s Crimson Rye

{ Photo c/o Ocean Prime }

1.5 oz. Dickel Rye

.5 oz. Langley’s Gin

.5 oz. Lillet Rose

.5 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

.5 oz. House Made Grenadine

6 drops Bittercube Blackstrap Bitters

Garnish: Star Anise Pod

3. The Twisted Tail’s Thyme after Thyme

{ Photo c/o The Twisted Tail }

1.5 oz. Cranberry Infused Gin

.75 oz. Lemon Juice

.5 oz. Lemon Puree

.5 oz. Ginger Liquer

3 sprigs of thyme

Garnish: Fresh Cranberries

Instructions for Gin Infusion:

Cranberry Infused Gin: Insert fresh cranberries into the Gin and let sit for four to five days.

Cheers to the holidays!

Sending a humungous thank you to Bluebird Distilling, Ocean Prime and The Twisted Tail for these recipes.

Which festive cocktail would you try?

xx Melissa

    I had a great whiskey drink the other day, but I don’t remember what was in it Apart from the same whiskey I blame for the memory loss of course). I’m out looking on every blog I can find that is about whiskey and drinks. That plan seems impossible though, it’s a popular drink 😉
