I’m all about fast, seasonal and healthy recipes. Case in point, THIS dessert recipe for dark chocolate covered kiwi slices.
Dark chocolate has antioxidants and may improve brain function. Kiwis are a winter fruit and have skin and digestion benefits. Kiwis and dark chocolate may even help with sleep, so I like to call the pair a healthy nightcap!
This dessert recipe takes about 20 minutes and two ingredients. The directions are pretty much peel, slice and dip.
Recipe | Dark Chocolate Covered Kiwi Slices
1 cup dark chocolate (I used Whole Foods 365 Dark Chocolate Baking Chunks)
- Peel Kiwis
- Slice kiwis
- Use a double boiler to melt chocolate. I don’t have a double boiler so DIY’d one by bringing a pot of water to a boil and placing a metal bowl on top of it.
- Dip kiwis in melted dark chocolate. Place on wax paper and put into the fridge (or freezer if you want a frozen treat)
