Recipe | Dark Chocolate Covered Kiwi Slices

I’m all about fast, seasonal and healthy recipes. Case in point, THIS dessert recipe for dark chocolate covered kiwi slices.

The benefits?

Dark chocolate has antioxidants and may improve brain function. Kiwis are a winter fruit and have skin and digestion benefits. Kiwis and dark chocolate may even help with sleep, so I like to call the pair a healthy nightcap!

This dessert recipe takes about 20 minutes and two ingredients. The directions are pretty much peel, slice and dip.

Recipe | Dark Chocolate Covered Kiwi Slices

Ingredients

3 Kiwis

1 cup dark chocolate (I used Whole Foods 365 Dark Chocolate Baking Chunks)

Recipe

  1. Peel Kiwis
  2. Slice kiwis
  3. Use a double boiler to melt chocolate. I don’t have a double boiler so DIY’d one by bringing a pot of water to a boil and placing a metal bowl on top of it.
  4. Dip kiwis in melted dark chocolate. Place on wax paper and put into the fridge (or freezer if you want a frozen treat)
