Happy holidays babes! This holiday party outfit was SO last minute. We all know how crazy busy it is this time of the year. Everything’s a rush and such a blur.
In-Store Pick Up
In-store pickup helped save me some time. I found the dress the afternoon before I needed it. Then, I wore this velvet romper the day I picked it up and I wore it to THREE parties that same day. December 16th was a pretty popular holiday party day.
I’m one of those people who will buy one event outfit and wear it multiple times. Case and point: this romper at allllll my 2018 holiday parties. I’ve even done this at weddings. Let’s be real, there will be different people at each event so it doesn’t matter if you’re wearing the same thing over and over again. And, if you love the piece, why care?
Holiday Party Outfit Deets
This rusty red velvet romper is from Urban Outfitters. After my in-store pick up, I ran to Nordstrom Rack, just around the block (I had my first party of the day in an hour, so the location was ideal). I wore this romper with $5 tights from Nordstrom Rack in the color “sheer off black” (similar here).
I was a little skeptical about the color because who knows what sheer off black really means?! Some black opaque tights look too harsh, so these sheer off black tights were perfect. I really like how the tights ended up looking with the rusty red romper.I imagine myself wearing them with light pink dresses or skirts all winter.
The boots I’m wearing are sock boots by Halogen from Nordstrom (sold out, similar + cheaper here). They’re the comfiest boots ever. I’ve even worn at work for at least 8 hours. Super versatile.
The slouchy cardigan is ~5 years old from Forever 21 and I wore it under my fave Ralph Lauren camel coat. Layers make such a difference in 30 degree weather. I was extra cozy and warm.
