Before I start this outfit post, can we talk about how gorgeous Philadelphia’s City Hall is?! I cannot get enough of this view from Broad Street!!
Okay, I’ve been seeing a few bloggers write about their style uniform and staples. I wear a ton of blacks, whites, grays, browns, reds and pinks—definitely a warm color lover. One of my easiest to style color combinations is black, white and camel all over (and read on to see one of my fake being taller tips!)
Here’s what I’m wearing:
Paige Jeans: I’m currently loving this denim brand mainly because these skinny jeans don’t stretch over time. I like to roll them up a bit instead of tucking them into my ankle boots. Since I’m 5ft 2 1/2 inches tall, I love this trick. If you’re wearing skinny jeans with ankle boots, roll up your jeans to give a little break—this tricks the eye by making you appear a little taller (click here for another short person tip). Tucking jeans into ankle boots is an awkward look, can make you appear shorter and your jeans might look too long for you.
White Top: This top is from Cary Lane. It’s a super fun store to shop at in San Francisco—totally gives off boutique vintage shopping vibes, except everything is *new*. Cary Lane specializes in samples, overstock and past season apparel from brands from all over the world. IMO that’s a pretty good way to get rid of clothing waste on earth. It’s like curating a shop full of cute stuff that some people don’t necessarily want, so less clothes end up in landfills. Everything at Cary Lane is up to 80% off and if you pay in cash, you get an extra discount.
Camel Ankle Boots: I’ve been wearing these ankle boots all fall and winter. Shop them on Amazon!
Knitted Pom Beanie: My cousin knitted this cute and cozy beanie for me! Poms are my thing, I’ve never worn a pom-less beanie. I don’t like being too matchy so this grey hat makes a difference in this OOTD.
